Prayer is a most necessary part of our lives and any spiritual warfare.  This issue is dealt with very much in Scripture.  The power of prayer is a very awesome thing.  Prayer brings spiritual laws to bear on both physical and spiritual things.  Christians operate in the supernatural when praying.

Prayer is more than just a nightly obligation.  It is communication and conversation with our Father.  In all aspects of our lives we need to be consistant in communication with God.  If we neglect to pray constantly we will not see attacks of the enemy.  Often we get distracted, that is part of the battle, focus again and keep going.  Prayer is not something that you have to be on your knees at your bedside to do, although that is certainly all right.  Prayer can be silent or spoken out loud.  You can pray while you are working, walking, driving a car or any other time.

When we pray we are going personally to God.  We are then placing ourselves as His children in the relationship.  At that point God who can do anything He wants to then has a request about some issue delivered personally from His child (you) who He dearly loves.  This becomes a big factor in an equation.  When He is weighting matters this will be a major element He considers.  It can greatly affect the outcome of a situation.  God's children are the reason this world exists.

Prayer is the opposite of worry.  Prayer is done in faith, going to our Father and giving a request about a situation knowing He knows what’s best and that He hears you, loves you, and will take care of it.  Worry is the opposite.  Worry is not done in faith. It is a tool of Satan.  Worry is not giving a situation to God or trusting Him with it.  Worrying removes your confidence in your relationship with God your Father and that will harm everything.  The solution to this problem is to pray every time you find yourself in any worry.  If you are worrying about anything you are being attacked.  Counter attack by praying instead.

Prayer involves you with the things of God.  Prayer changes things.  God desires you to pray.  In the same way that parents should want to speak with and guide their children through life our Father wishes to do this with you.  All through the Bible we see people who prayed and sought God’s council being very fruitful.  These people knew that god could do anything and asked for His help continually and He did help them.  We can learn a lot from their lives.

Benefits of praying for others are many.  Prayer itself gives us the benefit of being focused on God’s will, in personal fellowship with Him, trusting Him with the situation.  Prayer for others can be selfless on your part and very beneficial for the one being prayed for.  Prayer for others puts our own problems and situations in better perspective also, and helps keep us tuned into God’s perfect will.  Joining a prayer chain and receiving daily emails is one good way to do this.
